Atlanta, Georgia – The Atlanta-based email client, Mailchimp, is reported to be in talks to be purchased by Intuit for $12 billion.
This sale of MailChimp shows just how valuable tech companies in all sectors are growing to be, and how tech operations don’t need to be based in Silicone Valley to have an impact in the industry.
Intuit is the owner of the popular software programs: TurboTax, Mint, Quicken, and their most recent purchase of Credit Karma. Based in the California Bay Area city of Mountain View, Intuit seeks to expand its operations further within the small business market. MailChimp is a well-known email client provider that assists with organizing mailing lists, marketing techniques, and more.
